Pain Makes Your World Small

Everywhere you look people are suffering, pain is all around us, and often when we focus on the extent of the pain we feel everything so acutely that we loose the ability to see what's going on around us, we begin to draw our circle smaller and smaller, until soon all we know is our pain, all we feel is our own suffering, and all we can do is sit and wallow in it.

Pain makes our world small.

Pain is inevitable, I have not met one person who has alluded pain, pain comes and pain goes, yet when we fix our attention on the pain, not only does the pain increase, the ability to experience anything else diminishes. Can we keep our heart and mind open while experiencing pain? I think it can be done. Of course not easily, it will not only take determination to not let the pain define how you see the world around you, but also discovering tips and tricks on how to manage the pain. Pain can be both physical and metal, and each kind of pain takes special care.

Acknowledging the pain is important, saying I have this pain, yet it does not define me, and then the willingness to do what must be done to keep the world around you BIG, open and full of good.

I know you will experience in this life some kind of pain, and I hope you will keep your heart set on living the best life you can, in our big, big world.
