Living with pain. Together
Pain is subjective, meaning it is dependent on your mind and experience and your perception of it. To each person pain is felt to them, experienced from their personal facilities and shared through language.
No one can know YOUR pain, It’s yours. Yes, another person could have experienced a similar circumstance, loss, accident, yet they do not have your particular mindset, history, patterns and scale of experience.
Pain because of our intellect and feelings often causes us to question "why we are the one experiencing the pain, what did we do wrong for the torment."
The reality is that all humans suffer in variations.
To begin to own the fact that life includes pain, throughout living you may experience pain, also keeping in mind that your pain is unique to you, mentally processing through the truth about pain so that you can build self reliance and resilience, and then to open yourself up to sit with someone while they are in pain as they process, being a companion, someone to share the time as they suffer. This is a great good and a way to live with pain, together.
May we heal mentally, physically and emotionally, day by day.
