I am?

If "others" share their beliefs about you. Is what they believe your truth? If a mental health professional tells you that you suffer from X. Y. Z, Is this what you are to see in yourself? If you act in such a way that draws attention to your actions and is then believed that your actions are a cause of your inner state, is this who you really are?

We trust professionals, we assume that mental health is a "tangible" form that can be shaped and molded. Psychology in all of its forms is a science, an experiment, a study, a rat in a maze, each rat performing what each rat does, no two exact, only similarities. WE must remember this when we are choosing to listen to what someone outside of ourselves tells us about who we are.

Taking the time necessary to gain self reliance and learning who you are, is very important, we have health care professionals for a reason, and they are very important, but equally important is the need to have self awareness, and the ability to learn yourself. You can not live a good life until you know yourself. This is the reality.

Who are you? Do the work to figure it out, what makes you tick, what makes you feel alive?

You are who you are!

Are you safe right now? If not, you are not alone, reach out. https://www.safefornowblog.com/need-help
